Each yeard we buy the grapes to a domaine which works along the same philosophy as we do. They also work the soil, de-bud, lightly deleaf, and harvest their crop by hand.
Winemaking
The grapes are pressed; the must is lightly clarified before being placed into barrels. Alcohol fermentation is achieved with indigenous yeast.
Ageing
Malolactic fermentation is entirely carried out during the
winter months, in our underground cellars, in 350 litre
barrels.

Tasting notes

Nose
It offers a luminous color with golden highlights.
Nose
Aromas of white flowers, stone-fruits (pear, apple) and subtle buttery notes immediately seduce.
Palate
The balance between roundness and liveliness reveals a beautiful freshness, supported by a delicate minerality.

Domaine Lucien Muzard et fils

There is evidence of a winegrower named Muzard dating back to 1645, on a deed for the purchase of grapes involving a Beaune winery.

Right through his career, Lucien Muzard - Claude and Hervé's father - bought land and planted vines with his wife Paule, thus offering his sons the possibility of carrying on working on the inherited legacy of old vines. Lucien used the whole bunch vinification process and matured his wines in wooden vats, then sold most of his production to local traders.
