Xavier Vignon, Chateauneuf-Du-Pape Cuvée Anonyme, 2022

The famous red wine ‘Cuvée Anonyme’ by Xavier Vignon is also available in a white version ! The grapes come from old vines with limited yields.

70% roussanne, 20% clairette, 10% grenache blanc.

Terroir
Selection of several plots on different terroirs of the appellation and characterised by high ripeness and low yields.
Winemaking
The Roussanne was harvested very early (End of August 2020) and at low temperature to preserve high acidity. Clairette and Grenache blanc are fermented at low temperature to preserve minerality.
Ageing
Roussanne was aged in oak barrels for 4 months, with regular stirring of the lees. Clairette and Grenache blanc were aged in stainless steel tanks.

Eye
Bright gold.
Nose
Aromas of citrus, white fruit and vine peach. Hints of honey and quince.
Palate
Elegant, slighlty oaky, lively acidity. Long finish.
