The 1998 vintage would appear to be a great and very spicy vintage characterised by aromas of over-ripeness. Wines from that year often show a harmony between alcohol and tannin that makes them greedy, rich and powerful.

100% collection vines with majority of Grenache.

Terroir
Representative of the appellation's terroirs: rolled pebbles on the surface ;clay, sand and limestone at depth.
Winemaking
Total destemming and partial crushing. Vinifcation in truncated wooden vats and traditional concrete vats.
Ageing
Single aging in concrete vats to preserve freshness and fruit.

Bottled in 2023. Drinks beautifully now.

Eye
Deep red with garnet highlights.
Nose
Ripe black fruit, liquorice, garrigue and black pepper.
Palate
Silky tannins, lovely freshness that persists on the finish.
Serving and Pairing
Decant and serve at 15°C. Pan-fried porcini mushrooms - Roasted guinea fowl with scrubland herbs - Roast wild boar.
