Each cuvée from the Arcane serie is the expression of a vintage, a varietal or a terroir.
These cuvées are only available once before they disappear to make room for new arcanes made from different blends and terroirs.
Le Bateleur reflects the generous and robust character of the Rasteau cru. A blend of different
vintages has been chosen to emphasize the complex flavours.
60% grenache, 20% syrah, 10% mourvèdre, 10% carignan.
Terroir
South-facing plots, below the Ratanaud massif at an altitude of 350 meters, on clay-limestone soils.
Winemaking
Different vinification method according to grape variety and vintage. Traditional vinification for some, very long maceration for others.
Ageing
Some of the Syrah is aged in truncated wooden tank (24 months), the Mourvèdre in concrete vats and the Carignan in Wine Globe.
Can age until 2040.
