Coming from several plots selected throughout the Burgundy vineyard, the Domaine Decelle & Fils Burgundy Red cuvée is essentially made up of selected plots of “small villages” such as Mercurey, Ladoix-Serrigny and Savigny.
The common denominator of these plots is the limestone bedrock present throughout the Côte des Vins.
The grapes are harvested and vinified by hand like all our great wines, with careful sorting on the table, 100% destemming and then long vatting periods of around three weeks.
After a very gentle pressing, the Bourgogne Decelle & Fils is then taken down to the cellar and aged in barrels for around a year.

The color is a deep red with a beautiful shine.

Decelle & Fils

Domaine Decelle & Fils was started in 2008 when two distinguished winemakers from other regions of France decided to pool their talents and produce high-quality Burgundy wines. Olivier Decelle is the vigneron behind Mas Amiel in Roussillon, and he also revived Château Jean Faure in Saint-Émilion. Pierre-Jean Villa was part of a boutique Rhône negociant, and he is also a Rhone Valley vigneron. They purchased and restored a historic 19th-century cellar in Nuits-Saint-Georges along with about 20 acres of vineyards in various Burgundy locations.

Domaine Decelle & Fils covers 8 hectares of vines, showcasing the finest appellations in the Burgundy region. Composed of 75% Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the vineyard perfectly demonstrates the diversity of terroirs in Burgundy. The vines thrive on clay-limestone soils, the optimal environment for the estate's star grape varieties, and are meticulously tended to.

Since 2010, Domaine Decelle & Fils has been unwavering in its commitment to organic farming, aiming to preserve the Burgundy terroir.
