Located at the foot of the Corton hill, in the north of the Côte de Beaune, the village of Chorey produces almost only red wines. The place called Les Beaumonts is nestled between the communes of Savigny and Aloxe.
The “Les Beaumonts” plot that produces this Chorey-Lès-Beaune extends over relatively deep soils of black clay-limestone earth. The subsoil made up of alluvial gravel gives it optimal natural drainage that compensates for the slight slope of this plot.
The grapes are harvested by hand and then vinified in stainless steel vats in our cellar in Nuits-Saint-Georges after meticulous sorting. The vatting does not exceed 17 days and the extraction is done very gently in order to preserve the charming side of this Chorey-Lès-Beaune. It is then aged for around 14 months in barrels.
